	American education was born in private schools (most of which were held in churches) and is, in reality, a parental responsibility. During the past few generations, this responsibility has been relinquished to the state. As a result, our public educational system has become secularized and materialisitc in nature and is generally inconsistent with a Biblical philosophy of life.

	Kent Christian Academy was founded in 1975 to meet the educational and moral needs of our children and to provide a safe environment for spiritual and academic growth.

	After more than 33 years, we have seen our program of learning prove its effectiveness. Most of our graduates continue on to college and some have progressed to the doctorate level.
